This preparation may interfere with the absorption of medicine if taken at the same time. (concomitantly)

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
The safety of this preparation in pregnancy and lactation has not been established.

SIDE EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
May cause diarrhoea when used as an antacid and may cause discomfort. Hypermagnesemia may develop resulting in flushed skin, muscle weakness, respiratory depression, cardiac arrhythmias, coma and cardiac arrest.

KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSE:
Excessive purging, flushed skin, thirst, hypertension, drowsiness, confusion, loss of tendon reflexes, respiratory depression, cardiac arrhythmias, coma and cardiac arrest. Please consult your doctor when these symptoms are observed. Treatment of overdose symptomatic and supportive.

COMPOSITION: Each 5 ml contains:

Magnesium sulphate heptahydrate 2 g
Magnesium carbonate light 0,25 g

PRESERVATIVES: Methyl hydroxybenzoate, Propyl hydroxybenzoate

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION: Magnesium sulphate heptahydrate has an antacid neutralising capacity and diminishes the activity of pepsin in gastric secretion. In large doses, it acts as a saline laxative by osmotic action.

INDICATION: Gentle relief of heartburn, indigestion and constipation.

CONTRAINDICATION: Not to be taken by patients with impaired renal function, weakness or dehydration, unless under the advice and supervision of a doctor. Must not be given to patients who are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

WARNINGS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS: Do not use this product if you have kidney disease, except under advice and supervision of a doctor. Not to be taken by persons suffering from diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, unless directed by a doctor. If a sudden change in bowel habits is noticed that persists over a period of 2 weeks, consult a doctor before using a laxative. Rectal bleeding or failure to have a normal bowel movement after use of a laxative may indicate a serious condition. Discontinue and consult a doctor.
